  • Wooden "Strong-Box" storage in the back (no back seat), also built by myself
  • Hi-Lift Jack (what else is there?)
  • No stereo (which is how I prefer it -- it came with one -- the first thing I did was to rip it out -- yes, it's my daily driver -- yes, I drive without music, even for long distances)

Storage-Box Contents:

  • Tools (lots & lots of tools)
  • Air hoses (2), Dual air-up/down tire control with gauge
  • 2 ton hydraulic bottle jack
  • Fluids -- 5 quarts engine oil, 1 gallon gear oil, 1 gallon antifreeze, 1 gallon water (drinkable), 2.5 gallons gasoline, WD-40 spray can
  • Heavy duty jumper cables, Flares
  • 2 flashlights, 12V trouble light

  • Aluminum cook set
  • PUR water filter pump
  • Tea bags, hot chocolate mix, soup packets, misc. snacks
  • Survival pack (contains lots of goodies, including folding saw, candle lantern, matches, whistle, pocket-sized SAS Survival Guide, compass, swiss-army knife, mini survival pack, lots of other stuff)
  • Box 'o fabrication material (wire, tape, strap, nuts & bolts, tie-wraps, mini lighter torch, solder, various parts & pieces, digital multimeter, spare radiator cap, JB weld, silicone sealant, repair kits for tires, gas tank, muffler, radiator, lots of other misc. stuff)
  • Disposable camera (for evidence in case of accident)
  • Portable CB radio
  • Spare fan belts
  • Base board for Hi-Lift Jack
  • Personal toiletries (including contact lens stuff, toothbrush & paste, brush, soap, etc.)

Basically, I'm trying to carry enough stuff so that if something bad happens, I have a better chance of fixing it myself. When I build my steel box, which will be much larger, I will be adding more large spare parts like a spare starter motor, fuel pump, distributor cap, plugs, oil filter, alternator, hub, u-joints, welding accessories, etc.
